will perform from 11:00 to Noon, Sat., Mar. 23rd at the Celtic Spring Festival held at the Senior Center in Anchorage. The festival is from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Two of our band members will be teaching workshops: Benjamin James, "Celtic Knot Work" and Covenant Faithfulness, "Beginning Bodhran". Ireland March 9-18, 2013
We'll sail the Aran Islands, ford the River Corrib, frequent the pubs of Galway Bay for wine, women and song. We'll tramp the dense boglands and sing to the misty mountains. We'll search the Poulnabrone Dolman and explore the Cliffs of Mohr. We'll travel the Dingle Peninsula, walk the stone structures built 4,000 years ago. We'll cross the River Shannon and explore the hills of Kerry. We'll kiss the Blarney stone and wade in the waters that surround Cobh. We'll marvel at the Rock of Cashel and at the solitary wonder of Glendalough, then through the Wicklow Mountains into Dublin. We'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day as participants in the town's parade. Rogues & Wenches will host the annual Great Guinness Toast "St. Practice Day" at McGinley's Irish Pub on Friday night, February 15th. The nationwide toast will happen at 7:00 PM so get there early and get your ale to make the grand gesture in unison with other like-minded revelers! Rogues & Wenches will host a "toast" contest and prizes to the one who can craft the best Alaskan toast! T-shirt commemorating the event will also be available for purchase. Join us! Slainte!

Tribute to our friends ~
Rogues & Wenches will be performing some of their favorite sweet songs and ballads in the intimate setting of Celtic Treasures store located on the corner of Tudor & Old Seward. Here we began our career when proprietor Lisa Caress-Beu invited us to perform in her store and now we return to perform our first annual winter solstice concert. Happily this date coincides with the end of the world as the ancient Mayans understood global events. So as our Irish linnet, Erin Wells, suggested "If we're all going to die, let's die together! Come join Rogues & Wenches for a night of revelry and music!"

Celtic Community's Spring Festival & Workshops
Rogues & Wenches will be performing for the Celtic Festival on Sat. April 7, 2012, two 1/2 hour sets at 11:30 AM and again at 1:00 PM at the Anchorage Senior Center. The Festival runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Go to the website for details of all the workshops offered. Our guitarist, Ben James, will be offering a workshop on drawing Celtic knots from the Book of Kells.
